Having seen significant success in our Hospitality segment over the last couple of years with top NYC A+D firms, we are looking for a passionate team player to continue to grow and build on its early success. Are you a seasoned A+D sales rep with strong Contract knowledge looking for a more fulfilling role? An interior designer working in the Contract world and looking for a career change where you can be part of a fun and engaged team? If you’re passionate about interior design, a go-getter and have this experience, we’d love to hear from YOU! This sales position is responsible for promoting Zimmer + Rohde’s six brands of luxury high-end fabrics & wallcovering, in-addition to the showroom’s multi-line brands, to Hospitality design professionals in the NYC,
Brooklyn and Queens territory.
Responsibilities include:
_ Determine and sell appropriate products and reinforce brand positioning in the marketplace
_ Schedule in-person product presentations for both new and existing collections
_ Proactively offer thoughtful product recommendations based on specific practice or project needs
_ Assist designers with product information providing specifications, quotes, processing orders, and advising on customization possibilities and process
_ Manage leads, track and register projects, following up on all stages of the selling cycle
_ Analyze accounts to identify growth opportunities and market the products to maximize Contract sales potential
_ Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with design professionals & specifiers, keeping ZR and its product and service offerings top of mind
_ Seek out new Contract business opportunities through research, participation in industry events and trade affiliations, and networking
_ Meet or exceed annual sales targets
_ Provide accurate and timely reports to management, including call reporting and business updates
_ Occasional travel to, and potential participation in Trade Shows outside of the NY area
_ Work collaboratively with the showroom manager
Job requirements:
_ Minimum 3 years of Contract / Hospitality sales experience selling luxury goods within the A+D community, preferably in Contract textiles or wallcovering
_ BA degree preferred
_ Proficient in MS Office, specifically Outlook and Excel
_ Strong organizational skills and follow up,
_ Excellent time management, communication, and strong presentation skills
_ Exceptional customer service and client development skills
