A truly special moment for us: Our design classic CORDON by ADO Goldkante has been awarded 1st Prize in the Architects’ Choice category at Best of Interior 2026. An achievement we are particularly proud of, recognizing CORDON’s exceptional creative potential at the intersection of textiles and architecture.

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

On October 22, 2026, we had the pleasure of celebrating this special achievement at the Best of Architecture Summit, hosted by Callwey Publishing at Die Macherei in Munich. Together with more than 600 guests from architecture, interior design, industry, and the press, we enjoyed a varied day filled with interesting conversations, inspiring ideas, and many wonderful encounters.

Now in its twelfth year, Callwey’s Best of Interior competition is one of the most prestigious awards in the field of interior architecture and design. Alongside outstanding residential projects, eleven design products were recognized in the “Architects’ Choice” category this year.

The fact that CORDON was voted the 1st Prize winner by leading architects, interior architects and interior designers through an online vote makes this recognition especially meaningful to us.

CORDON IN CALLWEY’S “BEST OF INTERIOR 2026”

In addition to receiving the award, CORDON is also featured in the newly published book “Best of Interior 2026” by Callwey Publishing, which is now available.

The publication showcases selected projects and products from the world of interior design, offering additional visibility within the architecture and design community.

A SPECIAL DESIGN STATEMENT

Beyond receiving the award, we were also delighted to contribute to the visual identity of the evening. As the event’s official photo backdrop, we presented a new, more compact interpretation of our installation “Il Corridoio”, originally created in collaboration with designer Fabian Freytag for Milan Design Week 2026.

The distinctive CORDON light installations created an extraordinary setting for the winners’ photographs, bringing the interplay of light, transparency and textile structures to life.

Our photo backdrop became a special meeting point throughout the evening, once again demonstrating the remarkable versatility of CORDON beyond its traditional applications.

From our joint installation “Il Corridoio” at Milan Design Week 2026 to its reinterpretation as a photo backdrop in Munich, we had the pleasure of experiencing once again just how versatile CORDON is and how it can continually be reimagined.

We take away wonderful memories, valuable encounters and, above all, immense joy and pride in this award. We look forward to continuing to explore new perspectives in textile spatial design with CORDON.
