Marie’s Retreat by NJA Interiors

A JEWEL BOX OF INTERIOR DESIGN

A refined retreat where textiles, color, and thoughtful design come together.

Created by Naïka J. Andre of NJA Interiors, Marie’s Retreat was presented as part of Rooms With a View at the historic Southport Congregational Church in Southport, Connecticut. The annual design event brings together leading designers to create intimate, immersive room vignettes inspired by the idea of a room with an outdoor view.

Within this compact setting, every detail becomes part of the overall composition. Carefully selected Zimmer + Rohde fabrics add texture, softness, and depth, helping to transform the vignette into a distinctive and atmospheric interior.

The result is an intimate retreat where textiles play an essential role in shaping the character of the space and turning a small-scale setting into an expressive design experience.

TEXTILES IN FOCUS

Three Zimmer + Rohde fabrics contribute to the layered character of Marie’s Retreat. INFINITY ZOOM is used for the chair cushions, JONI defines the ottoman, while LA VERANDA frames the space as drapery.

Together, the fabrics demonstrate how different textures and applications can create depth and visual harmony within an interior — from upholstered details to flowing window treatments.
