The Mart Showhouse

TEXTILE ELEGANCE IN THE HEART OF CHICAGO

Located in Chicago’s renowned THE MART Design Center, the showhouse by James Thomas Interiors presents an interior where sophisticated textiles become defining elements of the overall design.

A selection of Zimmer + Rohde fabrics creates carefully considered textile accents and a harmonious interplay of color, texture, and material. From the canopy bed and pillows to the headboard, seating, and Roman shade, each fabric becomes an integral part of the interior concept.

The result is a space where textiles are far more than decorative elements: they define individual areas, create visual connections, and give the interior its distinctive atmosphere.

TEXTILES IN FOCUS

Four Zimmer + Rohde qualities shape the textile concept of the showhouse: DIMORA is used for the Roman shade and canopy bedcover, BISANZIO adds an accent to the pillows, INFINITY PLUS defines the headboard, while LETO VELVET brings a refined textile element to the seating of a leather chair. 

Together, the different fabrics demonstrate the versatility of textiles within an interior concept – from statement applications to carefully considered details.

This special showhouse project was created in collaboration with James Thomas Interiors and Zimmer + Rohde’s Chicago representatives, Michael Cleary. 

Together, they created an interior concept in which different textile qualities, materials, and applications come together to form a harmonious whole.
