NEW FABRICS COLLECTIONS
The collection is an homage to mythical places, fairy-tale dream worlds and the magic of the future. While taking cues from cabinets of curiosity we also pay tribute to traditional craftsmanship. However, this collection is also inspired by the new design options made possible by technical innovation.
Veneto, with its many palazzi and romantic gardens, is an architectural marvel. Immersed in the style of the Renaissance and nestled among picturesque hills, this region is famous for clear lines and the unique design language of architect Andrea Palladio. The collection is a loving homage to the villas and gardens designed by the Italian master. Graceful and stylish, it takes inspiration from Palladio’s characteristic style and revives it over five hundred years later in the collection’s designs.
Promenade Des Anglaiss | Voyage á Tunis
Inspired by the legendary PROMENADE DES ANGLAIS, the positive colours of this part of the collection evoke the freshness of summer on the Côte d’Azur and its Mediterranean charm. Another theme, VOYAGE À TUNIS, is inspired by the ‘Journey to Tunis’ the artists Klee, Macke and Moillet made in 1914. Influenced by oriental flair, the fabrics have a fairytale-like, heavenly quality. Both themes display a seductive pattern of light, while their compositions create a compelling and exciting atmosphere.
Romantic escape is the inspiration for the Travers 2018 collection Exotic Journeys. The brilliant colour and dramatic design of far off destinations conveys a rich, alluring lifestyle.
English interiors have always included an inspired mix of the traditional and the exotic. Since the days of the Empire when treasures from the Far East and Africa mixed with floral prints and fine velvets, the English home created a romantic blend of the familiar with the unexpected. It’s this spirit of world travel and artistic expression that defines the new Hodsoll McKenzie Bohemian collection.
